“Person who is about to become very wealthy promises that no one needs to feel wary about the event that will make them wealthy”.

That's what he was told during the acquisition and he believed it. Many entrepreneurs learn that lesson the hard way.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Facebook has made promises, then broken those promises, time and again. They've lied to founders they've acquired, to users, and to governments and regulators.

If anyone trusts Facebook at this point knowing that, I'm not sure what could convince them otherwise.
