It is also a pity that C++ compilers still not special optimize accesses to smart pointers.

Know what's the real pity? That popular opinion is that you unique_ptr<modal>(should) std::make_shared<verb>(write) unique_ptr<noun>(code) unique_ptr<preposition>(like) std::make_shared<pronoun>(this).

If you need smart pointers more than once in a blue moon, something is wrong.

Depends how much one likes to leak memory I guess.

There is always C for that.

Wearing helmets, placing seatbelts, metal gloves, rotating blade covers, gun lock switches,.... is such a nuisance.

Oh, things can be done to address that... like improving the structure.
