Creators can now monetize their expertise on Quora

They recently made some changes intended to reduce the spam and trolling. It does seem to have produced a positive effect.

They're hoping for more money via a model that strikes everybody as sounding suspiciously like Medium, but details are a little sketchy.

The site does get a fair number of visitors and not everything written there is terrible. But it takes a fair bit of customization to shut out the worst of it, and I suspect few newbies stick with it for long enough to do that. We'll see what, if anything, they can do to improve that for stuff behind the paywall.
