Yesterday's discussion[0] of the Covid vaccine mandate in New York was extensive but from what I could tell mostly oriented around civil liberties and precedents.

Missing from the discussion was whether it will even be possible to technically implement such mandates in the US. What good are the trivially forgeable CDC cards? How will municipalities that want a vaccine mandate attempt to seriously enforce them? How much money will they spend on apps like the one mentioned in this tweet?
