Cargo bikes deliver faster and cleaner than vans, study finds

The most annoying thing are actually parents in their cars (often big SUVs) dropping kids off in their kids at school. They seem to almost completely loose sense of their surroundings, because they are in such a rush to find a park and get their kids out of the car. It really seems only a matter of time until something serious happens (I'm reasonably safe, but there are also a lot of kids walking around).
The subheading does add the caveat that they were only looking at city centres, but I can't help that think it's a little ungenerous to ignore some of the areas within city centres that vans might potentially still excel (eg: bulky items)
Assuming one minute out of the van/off the bike, that leaves five minutes for getting to the next point on bike or nine minutes by car. Going by bike is faster, no question about that, but I'm surprised by the magnitude.
