Forget about it. No car made after 2024 will be a stick shift. By 2035, GenZ will celebrate as humans are declared too stupid to drive cars for themselves. All stop lights will be removed, and cars will negotiate intersections over a network, slowing or speeding up in advance, and never going below 100 KPH. Peds and motorcyclists will be arrested as they try to rally in intersections to force the AIs to slow down and allow humans to cross. But yes, you will still have to give a blood sample to get in your self-driving car, which you don't own.
