Canadians are kind of a sheepish society. They obey the government to the last letter of every word. It's why every level of Government can get away with anything they want to. The Government could have a Jonestown event and Canadians would all participate without hesitation even knowing what the outcome. If the government says they must take the shot they will obey.
The country is not a bastion of independent thought or freedom.
