I'm sympathetic to some of the article's points but I do disagree with the articles optimism on the intelligence of the general public. The argument about trust and credibility is right on target.

I personally feel Fauci is still a good source of information for me personally but I understand some folks use whatever OAN has to offer and who am I to argue? Some folks set their opinions early and don't like further debate and who am I to ruin their day about that? Just dont' get too close to them thats all lol

Becuase the flu is unique in this regard, it divides and recombines as a matter of course, that's why they number the combinations, like h1n1, h1n2, etc. Most other viruses, including coronaviruses, don't do that like the influenza does.
