Red Objects Were Found in the Asteroid Belt. They Shouldn’t Be There

The truth: reddish rocks from further out in the solar system (like Neptune) can be found in the asteroid belt - probably because of chaos in the early solar system.
Possibilities from the headline: Red objects? Are these unnatural? Aliens? Some new form of matter? Shouldn’t be there...Did someone put them there? Were they not there a year ago?
The truth is mundane for most viewers, but the second sparks some level of interest in far more people. The result is I just end up disappointed with the article (asteroid immigrants are interesting, not as interesting as Red Alien Artifacts though!), and I distrust NYTs to deliver measured news (I’d expect this clickbait from a tabloid)
