Worth remembering, though, that there are groups of people who cannot get vaccinated yet, either because it hasn't been proven safe and effective yet (kids 0-11), or because, for specific reasons, it isn't safe for them to get the vaccine (those severely allergic to components of the vaccines, some immuno-comprimized people).
Probably not a large wave, since there's only 1 teacher per ~20-30 students. We've got ~4 million teachers. Most are vaccinated. So only about 1 in 100,000 would die, so perhaps 40 deaths.
Not all are vaccinated. Maybe 100 teachers will die all told.
Children rarely die of COVID. It happens, but not often. We're often reminded that it mostly kills those with some kind of predisposition -- age, illness, weight, etc. Which describes a lot of teachers, because teachers are adults, and often older adults.
Maybe 100 teacher deaths will change people's minds, especially after other teachers start noticing and pointing it out. Or maybe not. Lots of people seem to think it's a fine tradeoff, though usually not the same people taking the risk. They'll definitely notice if teachers start refusing to take the risk.
