You can't wait for there to be even more ads in this world? You want them to physically follow you around? You can't wait for corporations to see your every move? No thanks.

We need to fix our current internet before allowing it to permeate our lives any deeper.

Meh, I'll use the Mozilla VR OS with uBlock 2040 on it

Although the present shows us that most people will be happy corpo serfs. : p

Adblockers may not work so well in the future, when everything's a binary blob of Web Assembly.

Android apps are binary blobs of dalvik bytecode, yet simply blocking a bunch of domains at the DNS level is surprisingly effective to get rid of most ads.

Also, tools like lucky patcher can do bytecode analysis and patch out ads automatically.

Hopefully we can get enough people into decentralized, ad-free social media ecosystems before this is a problem.

But, really, the problem is the vulture capitalists who can't conceive of building anything, only exploiting everything.

Honestly I just want the cute little doggo to follow me around while I'm shopping. I don't care if it's trying to get me to buy things.

I you talk about hyperreality I think you were referring to this (1) video, but given the downvotes you received I guess not many people got the reference
