Of course they do. They are very scared of what will come out. I am pretty sure that the next time there is some weird disease appearing in China that they will be cut off from all international travel a lot earlier.

On of the reasons I think they continued to deny the problem and allow for people to travel was to share the load with the world. By exporting the virus worldwide they ensured that everyone was disadvantaged and not just China.

Regardless of whether the Wuhan institute had anything to do with it (which I do consider a reasonable likelihood), if China doesn't want anything found, nothing will be found. This is their turf, and we're talking about events almost 2 years ago.

Yeah they have cleaned shop at this stage.

now china is in a difficult position. they deploy Lijian (https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/07/magazine/china-diplomacy-...) who makes a bunch of sabre-rattling statements, and now everybody thinks China did it. now China has to be on the defensive and "prove" otherwise.

WHO and UN should band together and punish China if they fail to allow more investigations. Simple as that.
