I know some people whose hubris reached such heights during the pandemic, they believed themselves to somehow be immune to the virus, and boasted about how they never follow any of the best practices or would ever get a vaccine, while denigrating those who were afraid. Eventually some of them caught a crippling case of COVID that may have nearly cost them their lives or perhaps worsened its quality permanently. What did I say? Good.
