Ask HN: How do you organize your “useful stuff” in an appartment?

I have lots of stuff (various small equipment, cables, sharpies, small screwdriver, velcro, ...) that is scattered across my apartment.

If I had a house, I could devote space on my garage to gather all of that, but this is more complicated in an appartment (I do not have a spare room).

Do you have some clever strategies (boxes, labels, ...) that ideally force you too keep all this organized?
