China is deeply concerned about Australia's serious human rights violations, a Chinese diplomat has said at the ongoing 47th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

I'm fine with some diversity of opinion on HN but I can't help but notice the majority of your comments involve pro-China news.

The link you posted is from Chinese state media. It is comical for China to assert that Australia is weak on maintaining rights of individuals.

You don't suppose that the CCP understands the value of manipulating HN conversations do you?

It seems like China's response is the definition of whataboutism.

Australia has put out statements it is concerned China is forcing sterilization on millions of Uighurs. China responds by saying Australia has detained a couple dozen people who were part of Islamic terrorist groups.

I would say one of these things is not on the same scale as the other (considering China also detains foreign combatants) and is putting out a statement to confuse.

It is ridiculous to make up a story about sterilization with no evidence. It reminds me of anti-Semitic campaign by Nazis.
