Love when papers 1) include a link to the Github. 2) include a clean CSV!

Made a quick data visualization: https://twitter.com/breckyunits/status/1414002397932756996

That's awesome! I'm not surprised at all that the Nordic region is so over represented as open source contributors per capita, but I am surprised at how few other nations are represented at that level

A nice visualization, but can I using the per capita numbers (page 14 of the paper)? The absolute numbers essentially colour codes the map according to population.

Edit: Please disregard the above, as I just realised that you generated more than one plot and one is per capita!

There is strong correlation of top countries in the list with the list of happiest countries in the world.

Top 10 in the paper (from appendix):

Iceland, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Canada, Estonia, Luxembourg

Top 10 happiest countries:

Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, New Zealand, Austria, Luxembourg

Is this surprising to anyone? It's the industrialized world: https://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/earthday/gall_earth_night....

Is there a visualization somewhere?

please use the original title in submissions
