I love to work hard but 9am-9pm 6 days a week and not be able to afford a house is absolutely crazy.

I always find ironic how the allegedly "communist" Chinese regime managed to create a system that basically has exploited workers for decades, in ways that are much worse than capitalistic countries. It really requires a lot of doublespeak to justify that.

Either they have a brilliant plan for accelerating capitalism until its breaking point or the party cares more about staying in power than about their ideology. We can only imagine which one it really is!

I wonder how many of the 60%+ truly mean what they say instead of just following the current trendy thing.

It's funny how China related threads are always full of ad hominem attacks on on whoever the official party villain is for that story.

Feels like propaganda on multiple levels. The strange arguments and random statistics. The attacking fairly sympathetic parties. Exactly following the party line.

How is my comment specific to China? In fact I made this comment because of the trends I see in my country. People on Instagram and TikTok preaching stuff which all comments agree with and yet when you look at what's actually happening these people are not following through.

It would be very surprising to me if China, or really any other country, is different in this regard.

Please try to at least not interpret a comment in the worst possible way.
