In the current end-user client--which you can currently download from the iOS/Android/Mac application stores--we use this to pay for VPN service "as you go" in rather small units (the size of these chunks in our case feels limited by bandwidth overhead of sending signatures and CPU usage for signing tickets, as opposed to by the reasonable size of a transfer).
