It's nice to finally have a genuine feel-good Covid story.
It's nice to finally have a genuine feel-good Covid story.
1. Odds that he was intentionally faking, looking for an attention opportunity.
2. Odds that he believed he was crippled, when he was slowly recovering and the experience incidentally allowed him to "relearn" motor control.
3. Odds that SARS-CoV-2 caused a temporary change in neuromotor control incidentally to damage/remodeling elsewhere.
4. Odds that SARS-CoV-2 caused a permanent change in neuromotor control incidentally to damage/remodeling elsewhere.
From the reliable data in the story there are some other data points:
1) It seems he really had no sense of his legs since once dropped a hot tea in his legs but did not notice at the time and after noticed his skin burned.
2) Was on a wheelchair for 8 years. Longer deceptions have been seen before but this one looks unlikely
3) If he was faking he also fooled his daughter for 8 years possible but unlikely.
4) Was in a coma for 3 weeks. Maybe this is also related to the change in health status as much as Covid.
