Full disclosure is the only way. Bug bounty programs are a trap.
If you want to do big things in this world, run with the SciHubs and the PirateBays and the PublicDomainers. Flip the bird at the academics publishing junk behind paywalls crowing about licenses.
The ones who matter set their ideas free. Been that way for thousands of years.
(GPL was an amazing hack, but the next step is to finish the job, abolish IS laws, and bury for good the idea of needing a license to use your mind)
While I don’t personally subscribe to IP anarchy, and I think that it is not being conveyed with an ideal level of tact, I do think it makes mostly logical sense.
Deep down, from a purely ideological standpoint, most computer science minded people can probably understand IP anarchy. It’s sort of the other side of the “what color are your bits?” post. I still think the world is better off with some forms of IP, even if we’re all well-aware that the copyright and patent laws have been perverted in most places.
"But you can't steal an idea"
The world was built by good ideas and bad implementation, so I guess we are gonna disagree here.
