Hacker News Reader

As several commenters pointed out below (thank you all!), the newsy link is https://stripe.com/terminal/stripe-reader.

Since https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27534156 was an earlier submission of that link, I've moved the relevant comments thither and re-upped it.

Stripe Reader may be a more accurate link: https://stripe.com/terminal/stripe-reader. This is Stripe announcing its own own hardware that developers can use to build their own point of sale payments experiences.

Not sure what's novel here. Here's a thread with the same title from 3 years ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18007255

There's a new terminal model.

New on the page is their own hardware: https://stripe.com/terminal/stripe-reader

This should be the link

Am I the only one who expected a command-line interface with ascii graphics?

Is this a case of 'I see stripe, I upvote'?

Terminal has been up for years

The Stripe Reader is new.

Haha if you enter 1337 on the keypad it takes you to the job listings

How is this news?!

Are we doing press releases now, old one at that
