Unpopular opinion, but when I was young, I avoided drugs because of the legal consequences. I understood that trying drugs once or twice wouldn’t get me addicted, it wouldn’t impact my health, because when I was young, health wasn’t a big concern. The main concern with acquiring or taking drugs was the severe legal consequences I’d face. Years in jail, whether it was true or not was the deterrent.
