North Korea defector says 'even NK is not this nuts' after attending Columbia

There is a solution to this but it's ever apparent that the Bill of Rights is the bill of "Well you can argue you have those rights in court but we're not gonna guarantee any protections" nowadays. Not when my employer can freely fire me because of a lynch mob decrying me on a whim. Same with school, where these monopolistic institutions can essentially force you think in a certain way without recourse for the sake of getting your degree (thank you public education).
We need codified and as easily enforceble rights where someone can claim they have the right to not be fired for said privilege's, and an employer is too afraid to say otherwise because they will guaranteed lose in arbitration or whatever. We need employment protections that you cannot lose your job pending criminal lawsuit and all salaries will be wholly compensated if found innocent so as not to make the employer think "just toss them aside now." We need greater oversight on educational institutions to stop acting like religious cultural epicenters that allow for claims to merit punishment. In the court of law that's hearsay but why can public institutions treat hearsay as fact? Public colleges should be the last place that consider hearsay as evidence, yet in places like NYU, it's almost as if science only means something when a minority of some kind does it and the white man didn't.
Either way, there is going to be a corporate culture change in the future and it's not going to be good. All the smart people who survived will treat it as a learning curve. There was an article on HN not long ago about a woman who realized that while she was not being actively discriminated against, she also wasn't being asked out for drinks with coworkers because she was female. And most likely because the men did not want to be worried they'd get "me too'd" in the process. If you push people in one direction, they certainly do not stop until all the cattle have gone over the cliff.
The KGB helped bring this radicalization to academia and now it’s bearing fruit. https://youtu.be/Z1EA2ohrt5Q
That does not appear to be the case.
