Docker Inc. reeks like the SCO or port-Oracle Sun of our current generation. A very tacky move to what, make them a quick buck?

We already got mad about this last month.

It looks like you can just snooze it, but apparently it will continue to nag you:

>Free users will not be required to install any particular update, but they will continue to get reminders to update.

Super weird.

Ah yes I swear that stupid popup was waiting for me every morning when I started work.

These type nagging tactics are what I expect from the likes of WinRAR, not something from a company that has taken millions in venture funding.

This was discussed extensively on HN and has been rolled back: https://www.docker.com/blog/volume-management-compose-v2-ski... (scroll down)

what a pathetic and desperate cash grab.

good thing that the container space is getting de-dockerized, these guys are folding.

when is oracle buying these guys?

Interesting! Glad they reverted it.

Isn’t Docker Desktop borderline Spyware?

What do you mean?

I just opened the Docker Desktop app... Was really surprised when I saw that I can't skip the update without the Pro subscription... Seriously??

Skipping Chrome and Windows 10 updates also not free.
