Judge Rules Star Wars The Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker Are Mediocre and Schlocky

This whole debacle is a huge example for how not to continue an IP.
Overall and personally am happy they are making new Star Wars content yet they probably should continue making films and shows that are outside of the beloved characters and use those characters sparely in other films and shows.
Books like the Thrawn oder Bane trilogies would have been great material for films and much better than anything Disney put out so far. Knights of the Old Republic set the bar for how to retell A New Hope and makes The Force Awakens look like a sloppy parody.
That kind of material would still not even out the hype, but seriously, Disney should really put some people who actually know and care about Star Wars in important positions, people who correctly see it as a red flag when a movie director isn't only tasked with making a sequel before the predecessor is completed, but also discards the previous director's story concept.
Was fluff added by GPT-2 to make the word count longer? All of the information included in this article could have been written with a lot less words.
In fact, the judge could still claim he was reserving judgment on the quality of the Disney films. After all, he was only calling the promise of a future improvement in quality illusory. But even that claim depends on some of Lucas' own output being mediocre and schlocky in the first place.
In either case the ruling is against Lucas here. :)
1: It is, however, self evident that Episode II headlines whatever such list the Court had in mind
