Dane-Geld (Poem)

Don't miss the full poem: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Dane-geld

Which is very good; I submitted the Wikipedia article because it too is interesting, and the poem is linked there, but the reverse is not true.

This came up in https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27373637 , under the topic of paying ransomware ransoms, and I found the comment/reference by mannerheim quite interesting.
