Swiss parliament gives green light for underground cargo train

The parliament approval simplifies the permits required to dig across cantons etc. If financing succeeds (no government money at this time) the first part will be build from Zürich to Härkingen-Niederbipp by 2031 for 3 billion Swiss francs. (3.34B USD). The "pods" are expected to travel at 30kph in a 6m tunnel.
