Not feeling the GCHQ connection other than the location given the description later on "The challenge is set in 1969 and requires players to form a task force to tackle the threat of organised crime in the UK, in the wake of the removal of the “Firm”, headed up by the Kray twins."

But, without having done it - who knows. But at least it avoids the cold-war scenario's of that era, so I suppose that would be one cliché scenario avoided.

As for the Kray Twins, they would of been in jail through 1969 apart from court appearances and process, having been caught in 1968.
