In addition to the database PaaS services, the “always free” cloud infrastructure is this:

- 2 AMD based Compute VMs with 1/8 OCPU and 1 GB memory each.

- 4 Arm-based Ampere A1 cores and 24 GB of memory usable as one VM or up to 4 VMs.

- 2 Block Volumes Storage, 200 GB total.

- 10 GB Object Storage.

- 10 GB Archive Storage.

The ARM infra can be 1 VM with 4 CPUs/24 GB RAM or up to 4 smaller VMs.

Great spot, can be useful for pet projects. Bookmarked. Thank you

Has anybody used them? What are the cost pitfalls if you "forget" to check your bills / credit card statements for a while?

The "Always Free Tier" is 0$. I work there but I'm also running "Always Free" resources for my side-project (2 compute instances that have been running for more than a year + the associated network and storage resources).

So far no charges on my credit card.

Even Corey Quinn was surprised - https://twitter.com/QuinnyPig/status/1389696434283245568
