To be honest, I struggle a bit with the terminology here because I'm woefully behind with my knowledge of modern Datalog (I only need to use the bog-standard language from the '80s to achieve my goals). For example, I'm not sure what counts as input and output in Datalog parlance. I think "input" is your intensional and extensional definitions, then output is the ground facts derived from them?
