Mysterious Brain Injuries Said to Hit over 130 U.S. Officials Abroad

* a treatment they give high ranking high risk individuals who have to go overseas
* a technology the US government uses, but cannot discuss, which they are exposed to. RF, or RF leakage.
It's not that I am incapable of accepting this is an externality, an attack, the bad-guys, but I do seriously wonder if this is a shoot-self-in-foot thing, analogous to the consequences of the gulf war CBW treatment effect on troops, or some RF communications gear and lack of shielding, or something.
130 officials is a high count. How many locations. What's the epidemiology.
Here's an entirely fictive example:
"use these headphones, they're guaranteed to prevent overhearing secret conversations using your Mac"
<headphones have been badly designed, the RF shielding actually focusses something inside the head, apart from doing whatever the NSA directed to limit overhearing>
The standard Malaria treatment "lariam" is now suspected of causing huge increases in suicide in Australian troops, in some cases years after.
Here's another entirely fictive example:
"all staff who are seconded to the following list of 130 economies worldwide must have <anti CBW shot> now"
<anti CBW shot> turns out to be a bad batch, badly manufactured, highly experimental drug...
In both these cases, there are reasons the government could legitemately decide not to declare whats going on: if they reveal they know certain monitoring takes place, and how they mitigate, they reveal the limits of what can be detected, and what can be mitigated.
If they reveal they are treating people for CBW risk, and it can be detected in the bloodstream, they provide a guaranteed mechanism to identify staff engaged in security-related contexts from a simple assay. They also invite design of CBW offensive weapons which are not prevented by this CBW shot.
In my opinion they're all workplace injuries. There's something that the government is making them do, or is doing to them, as you lay out above.
Meanwhile the government is busy blaming 'adversaries' so that the government can wriggle away from shelling out millions of dollars in Workers' Compensation claims.
It keeps coming to mind when I read about these things.
A low power one, given a sweet wavelength choice, would be damn tough to detect.
Just spitballing. Who knows?
Seems to me more than chance though.
