Why do people take it for granted that they can't send an instant message from one instant message client to another?
If the E.U. was serious about human rights in the electronic age, antitrust, and not being dominated by foreign firms like Facebook and TikTok they would legislate interoperation between IM clients.
It's astonishing how nothing has changed between AOL messenger except and Facebook messenger except one was tied to AOL and the other is tied to Facebook.
