Windows 10x, Microsoft's Ambitious Chrome OS Competitor, Reportedly Cancelled

When will Microsoft learn nobody asked for appstores and systems that only distinguish themselves from Win10 by being more limiting for the user? Windows RT, 10S, 10X, ...people don't care about Windows without its vast software ecosystem, at that point any other OS does the same job but better. Nobody ever goes to the store and says "I want to buy a Windows laptop".

They should rather focus on getting their primary OS running flawlessly on ARM chips before both Apple and Google leave them in the dust, and give developers enough time to port applications.
