You should accept [anything-at-all]@[first name][last name].com and direct it to your email. The remaining question is what to put on your business cards (and everywhere else you pass out your email address).
If [first name][last name] is SHORT, you might try [first name][last name]@[first name][last name].com. I use a variant of that [my handle]@[my handle].com, and I have found that people understand it quite well. If [first name][last name] is LONG then you should avoid making people type too much -- something like me@[first name][last name].com or [nickname]@[first name][last name].com (eg; "tim@TimothyBordergum.com") might be nice.
