Shocking how even on HN people are not aware that the world population will NOT grow indefinitely.

Let me repeat myself: I think this is good news.

One way or another, the world population will not grow indefinitely. That's a fact. But the how, that's uncertain.

It is a lot better for us if the reason is not the ocean food chain has been disrupted.

With how we are progressing with medicine and building up 3rd world countries the world population will grow a lot more still.

Only in the short term. Lifting people from extreme poverty drastically reduces birth rates, accelerating demographic transition [1].
