It's GAN generated, like thispersondoesnotexist.com. I thought a chemical example was interesting because the relatively narrow range of molecular possibilities makes it possible to imagine compounds that have certain properties even if the means of manufacturing them remains unknown.
Wherever these molecules come from, they look remarkably plausible.
