Grade Inflation Is Ruining Education

This article mostly discusses grade inflation in high schools but I'd say it's probably much more rampant in universities.

Your prospects of getting rehired as a lecturer or TA is highly dependent on your student reviews. Even if you did a great job teaching, you will always have salty students writing bad reviews complaining about their low grades. Eventually, you just give up and start giving 100s to everyone that sends you a email complaining about anything.
