I don't think it makes sense to flag, given:

It's pretty rare that police are convicted around excessive force in the US. So to me this is a rather notable / interesting new development.

This is rather notable given the high burden usually required given qualified immunity and how difficult it has been in the past to convict police of excessive violence.

The mob won, let’s hope for mistrial or appeal.

When a US representative incites violence on the streets to intimidate the jurors, and the president ‘prays’ for guilty verdict it is a travesty of justice.

Are you telling me Chauvin did everything by the book, committed no wrongdoing, and you endorse his behavior? Or that he should be forgiven or given a slap on the wrist because what he did wasn't that bad? It's really hard to understand this line of thinking. Also "the mob won" - isn't that in a way what protesting is for?

You're right. That's why we have a trial, with laws, a judge, a jury, lawyers, etc.

If 300 million people march in the street to protest a murder, is that grounds for acquittal?
