The sorry state of Ubuntu package management
I have faced this problem multiple times that I have to mention it: The Ubuntu distribution using snap and the older method breaks applications! Some applications are (by default)distributed using snap, some are distributed in the old fashion. And it is difficult for them to communicate. I am using Inkscape to create interactive mockups. It is an extension that exports Inkscape files to interactive web mockup. It internally uses ImageMagick. This module breaks because it cannot access ImageMagick. Why? Because Inkscape was installed(automatically by default) via snap and ImageMagick was installed(again automatically by default) using old method. The snap version has difficulty accessing the non-snap application/libraries!
