Ameelio.org is looking to hire a FFmpeg expert for our video processing service
Due to previous support we gained we thought with our current situation it would be best to once again go to this community and ask for help.
Here's a little background, first. Ameelio is a tech non-profit building free communications solutions for incarcerated people and their loved ones. Our newest product, Connect, will be launching its pilot soon. Connect is the video conferencing solution that will serve people affected by the prison industrial duopoly, for free.
We're looking to hire someone experienced with FFmpeg (and/or other similar tools such as gstreamer) for a short term contract to help us finish up the platform and deliver an awesome, scalable solution to the people we serve. You'll work with the core engineering team to build our video processing service. If you or anyone you know would be interested, please feel free to comment your details or email me (jesse@ameelio.org) and I'll get in touch. We're hoping to fill this position ASAP!
For transparency, our immediate offering is $50/hr. This is negotiable!
Much love, HN.
