Ask HN: Lied on resume, what is next (please help)?
Applied to FB/Google and in resume on experience section put our approximate load QPS/RPS/MAU* numbers. Prepared resume some time ago, haven't updated recently, just took it from personal storage and applied. Now I am in the process of interviews.
I was investigating an issue and needed to calculate some values. I Immediately remember my resume numbers, to my surprise numbers were correctly calculated and arrived with totally wrong metrics and used them in my resume (at least 4-5x more, than what we have now).
Feeling terrible for this mistake, worrying about disqualification from my dream companies. What should I do, please help.
* - for people not aware of acronyms. QPS - queries per second, RPS - requests per second, MAU - monthly active users.
