Does consciousness come from the brain’s electromagnetic field?

Seems like a stretch, and assumed to be correct without a ton of evidence. Also, even if EM fields are the medium of consciousness, this begs the "rest of the f*king owl" question -- how does that work? Fields just kick the can down the road...knowing (assuming) fields are involved still doesn't explain how fields create consciousness.

It seems to me that the electromagnetic field is an artifact of consciousness rather than vice versa.(Some people believe that consciousness is all that really exists.)
