Synonyms.vim is a frontend plugin that allows you to show synonyms in a vim split, it is meant to shorten the cycle of going to your browser look for a word and comeback to vim. Plus the backend that search for synonyms is customizable, in the UNIX philosophy way.

Hmm, I'm not sure what this provides over the built-in thesaurus support¹. Perhaps, the README could include a little comparison?

You can customize the synonyms backend, instead of being tied to the built-in thesaurus completion.

Glad to see this here! I’ve been looking for something like this as I’ve been using Vim for writing prose more recently.
