I'm pretty sure Cray people knew the sales value of good presentation: the tank was see-through plastic and there was illumination inside the case.
Basically, it was pimped out like a gamer rig, before gamer rig pimping was a thing.
The advantage for computing being that it is a non conductive liquid.
Sounds like they're doing similar, though who knows if they're using consumer grade or some fancy high end stuff.
