Clubhouse Discusses Funding at About $4B Value

Clubhouse is a joke it won't exist for 5 years there is nothing unique about it Discord does it and was already doing it and soon everybody will be doing it. Clubhouse is a feature not a platform it is a small niche nothing special they can add payments, subscriptions whatever but it won't grow it.

If I was investor I wouldn't put a dollar in it but VCs are putting millions tbh idk why. For example Snapchat was unique because it was first ephemeral social app and it made sense to invest in it and it makes sense it succeeded.

My conclusion Silicon Valley investors are clueless.

What a joke! A iPhone-only app, which gave usernames to people with iPhones, and now gives me no incentive to touch it with a ten foot pole as I can't have my online identity! It can be created better in a month and somebody guy recreated it in days and it was posed here. They don't even have a good domain and actually conflict with the project management app. They added payments... so what?! $4B is a lot of money. There centuries-old real businesses worth less - but they will still exist centuries from now - unlike Clubhouse! These crazy valuations should be put to an end otherwise they give no incentive to do meaningful stuff in this world! Maybe investors should recall Path.com's fate before wasting their millions!

I tried club house but got lost in the recommendations and all of the rooms.

Meanwhile when Twitter deployed spaces it made immediate sense and i felt in control based on my followers.

Will be interesting to see what wins out long term but I’m much more interested in Twitter spaces than club house

Clubhouse is really awful. I don't know anyone who continued to use it after opening the app a couple times
