Was there ever really a "bubble", or was it just a bunch of high profile (and in some sense "fake") purchases in a failed attempt to create a bubble? I have seen NFTs mentioned in exactly two contexts - breathless articles about the sale of such and such an NFT for a ludicrous sum, and merciless mockery of NFTs from the rank and file peanut gallery. I have never once heard a normal person say "NFTs are the next big thing, I've bought loads".
Personally I stay out of the fray but lately "NFT" has been really misused and misunderstood.
