A Man Found 15,000 Bees in His Car After Grocery Shopping

This is not a story. Bees swarm, usually when the weather starts warming up. There are probably tens of thousands of swarms in the US every year. They are harmless. Some of them end up on public infrastructure. We had one hang out on a bike rack near our office a few years ago. (No one from the New York Times came to report on it.)

I caught a swarm near work that was looking very sad as it was raining hard. I put it in a beer box until I could take it home.

I saw a remarkable video [1] of a swarm being transferred to a hive. The beekeeper caught the queen and put it into a hive. Tens of thousands of bees followed the queen in minutes. It's worth seeing how an a beekeeper in a tee-shirt was able to accomplish this.

Even more insane, here [1] is a guy nonchalantly walking down a street with a swarm of bees on his bare arm while he holds the queen in his fist.

How did the man counts them all did he miss anything :))

Perhaps he missed the date?

April 1

You make an estimate based on weight. There are about four thousand bees in a pound of bees.

Thank you for a quite humorous comment.
