Sorry, you have to throw out your car because the batteries died in 5 years and _woops, the batteries are the cars_
First, if the battery is fully incorporated with the structure, you have to discard the whole product when the batteries stop holding a charge. I hate the environment as much as the next guy, but that seems a bit excessive.
Second, if you're using these in, say, a car, what happens when that car gets in an accident? What would have been minor, potentially only even cosmetic damage, now requires a full rebuild of the vehicle...to the point that most people will likely throw them away after one accident.
