I stewed in this scene for years in my early twenties in Copenhagen, right at the time the women were reasserting their birthright over the genre with artists like Pharmakon and Puce Mary.
It was a time of a lot of suffering for me but I was also so thankful for the splintering cracks of their invented, burly instruments and voices like saws or some antediluvian Eve. It was a warm comfort to hear the tumult of cities crying with you.
Late reply, but I'm guessing you were adjacent to some Posh Isolation/Janushoved stuff then? That whole scene was easily my favorite sonic development of the 2010s. It seems to have stagnated in its own right now, but it really was a breath of fresh air compared to much of the butt noise of the 00s.
Some of the Posh crowd is still making good stuff: Loke under his own name and as Croatian Amour.
I think most of that scene transformed into what's the Danish techno scene now. I've really fallen for the sweet candy bops of Kasper Marott. At 4:28 Courtesy comes in with one of his new tracks [1]. It's all very playful, something in short supply these days.
This has a much deeper insight into what went into making her music.
Her description of her life and interactions with Arman and his friends in their early days, while relatively brief, I found fascinating.
