What is the easiest way to use VS Code remotely in Browser?

I am going to take an online course that uses VS Code. I use OpenBSD. I do not want to have to install Linux on my local machine just in order to use this IDE. I have a VPS account with a cloud provider and can spin up a Linux VPS easily. I tried doing that and installing coder from git hub. Coder purports to allow you to serve VS Code from a remote machine with UI through the browser. I tried doing that. I get a log in prompt when viewing the site. When I type the correct log in I get a blank white screen in my browser. Nothing loads.

Ideally what I am looking for is a prepackaged VS Code Linux image / iso that I can just install and be instantly up and running. I don't want to waste time on BS just to use a glorified editor. Digital Ocean apparently had one available a year or two ago but now the link is dead...
